iRobot launched the Roomba Combo j5+ ($799) and the Roomba Combo i5+ ($549) to its line of 2-in-1 robots. Both of these new Roombas are robot vacuums and mops in one. The bin can be switched out based on the cleaning mode used. The cleaning bin and the Roomba Combo bin are on both robots. With the vacuum bin attached, Roombas can clean a variety of floors, including carpets, rugs, and hard surfaces. To mop floors, you can fill the Roomba Combo bin with water or a cleaning product that works with it.
Features Of j5+ and i5+
Dual Multi-Surface
The Roomba Combo j5+ cleans with its power-lifting suction and Dual Multi-Surface Rubber Brushes when it is in the vacuum bin. It doesn’t get caught up in pet hair, but it can still pick up everything from small particles to big pieces of trash.
Dirt Detect Technology
The Roomba Combo j5+ also has a Dirt Detect Technology feature that lets it find the dirtiest spots and clean them better. It also empties itself immediately into the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal, which can hold up to 60 days’ worth of trash.

When the Roomba Combo bin is in place, the robot will know when it’s time for a combination clean. When it knows it needs to clean, the Roomba Combo j5+ changes into a robot cleaner that also mops. It uses its Dual Multi-Surface Rubber Brushes, Power-Lifting Suction, an Edge-Sweeping Brush, and a mopping pad to get rid of debris, dirty footprints, and dust.
Roomba i5+ Is Similar To j5+
The Roomba Combo i5+ robot vacuum and mop is similar to the j5+, but it is made for smaller homes with mostly hard floors. Like the Roomba j5+, you can switch the bins to turn them from a cleaner for hard floors to a mop. If the robot’s battery dies, the Roomba i5+ will instantly charge itself and keep cleaning until the job is done.
