source: carscoops Cadillac's first foray into the world of battery electric vehicles, the Lyriq, is expected to be released as a 2023 model. However, it remains unclear whether a Lyriq V-Series model will ever be produced. Recently, there has been some speculation about the possibility of such a model, and Cadillac's accessories website may have inadvertently confirmed it. On the Cadillac accessories website, V was listed as one of the trim options for the 2024 Lyriq. Although the V trim option has since been removed, this suggests that a hotter Lyriq model could be in the works. When contacted for comment, a Cadillac spokesperson stated that it "must have been an error with our accessories team." However, the spokesperson did not provide any comment on whether a Lyriq V-Series model is being planned. Cadillac has not ruled out the possibility of a Lyriq V-Series model, and Global Vice President Rory Harvey indicated in a 2021 virtual interview that the company is evaluating the option. "Having sporty variants has been part of our heritage… and that is something we’re looking at and evaluating moving forward," said Harvey. source: Cadillac Society   If a Lyriq V-Series model does come to fruition, it is expected to be quite powerful. The current CT4-V and CT5-V models in the current V-Series lineup produce 325 horsepower and 335 horsepower respectively in their base versions. The Blackwing models are more powerful, with the CT4-V generating 472 horsepower and the CT5-V producing 668 horsepower. It is theorized that the Cadillac Lyriq V-Series could produce around 500 horsepower. While Cadillac has not confirmed the existence of a Lyriq V-Series model, the recent listing of V as a trim option on the Cadillac accessories website suggests that such a model may be in the works. If produced, it is expected to be a powerful vehicle, potentially producing around 500 horsepower. Only time will tell if Cadillac decides to release a Lyriq V-Series model, but given the company's history of producing sporty variants, it seems like a possibility worth considering.
