Jennifer Lopez is thinking back on her unforgettable Super Bowl LIV halftime performance. For her acclaimed 2020 halftime show, Lopez had her then-11-year-old daughter Emme by her side, which gave her a very nice boost to help her get even more pumped up that day.
The mother of twins, 53, captioned some throwback footage on her Instagram Story Thursday night with the phrase, “My lil’ coconut gave me all the energy I needed to go out there …” and the hashtag “#MySunshine.”
Furthermore, Emme, now 14 years old, participated in the performance with Lopez. Additionally, before they both entered the football field, Lopez had given her youngster a loving kiss. Also, the “Jenny from the Block” singer and Emme were seen leaping around to warm up before their big moment as they waited for Shakira, who opened the first half of the show, to conclude her set.
Moreover, Emme, who possesses a natural “performance gene,” was the star of the show. The young artist opened the cameo with a performance of “Let’s Get Loud” with some other young people before belting out a few lines of “Born in the U.S.A.” by Bruce Springsteen while Jennifer Lopez sashayed around in a feathered cape made of the colors of the Puerto Rican flag: red, white, and blue.

Following the halftime show, Emme and twin brother Maximilian “Max” David’s father Marc Anthony had some kind words for the aspiring performer and shared a picture of Emme onstage in celebration.
The song “You Sang to Me” hitmaker, 54, wrote: “Emme Daddy is so proud of you. You are my [heart emoji] and I am forever yours.”
For those unaware, Lopez and Anthony were wed from 2004 to 2014. But, the international superstar wed Ben Affleck in July 2022, 20 years after their early 2000s relationship began, and three Super Bowls later. In addition, Affleck, 50, was previously married to Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018.
On another note, recent events include Anthony’s marriage to Nadia Ferreira on January 28. However, it was not immediately clear if the twins were there.
