Juniper Systems introduces first IP68 rugged tablet featuring active cooling

Image credit : Juniper Systems Designed to withstand rigorous conditions at construction sites, military missions, or wilderness expeditions, rugged tablets are built to endure harsh treatment. Utah-based Juniper Systems asserts that their Mesa Pro stands as the first IP68 model featuring active cooling. This resilient tablet boasts a 10-inch sunlight-readable LCD touch display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, enabling usage while wearing gloves or in wet environments. It's enclosed by a sturdy "Juniper Rugged" frame featuring easy-grip bumpers and includes an LED-backlit keypad on one side for quick-access shortcuts. In fact, its IP68 rating signifies that this Windows 11 tablet can endure submersion in water up to one meter (3 feet) deep for a maximum of 45 minutes. Active cooling technology assists in preventing system overheating. The inclusion of a 43.2-Wh hot-swap battery ensures extended on-site usage. The tablet features a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. Additionally, it can be equipped with a built-in barcode imager and decoder. Connectivity options include USB-C and USB 3.1 ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and the possibility of an RS-232 connector. Bluetooth 5.1 and 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi are integrated, and 4G LTE can be configured if necessary.
