The record for the most Twitch subscribers was broken by streamer Kai Cenat, who now has 272,717 subscribers. Grand Theft Auto V, developed by Rockstar Games, helped Cenat attain this record-breaking total while he was live streaming. Additionally, the Twitch subscriber record was broken by streamer Kai Cenat during a subscription marathon (subathon) event, marking an important milestone. According to Bloomberg, Cenat set a new record with 272,717 subscribers as of today. In addition to streaming his Grand Theft Auto V gameplays, he also engages in live discussions with his subscribers, who pay $5 to $25 per month to access his premium content. Furthermore, Cenat became the streamer with the most subscribers, two years after signing up for the service. With 269,000 subscribers in 2021, Tyler "Ninja" Blevins and Ludwig Ahgren previously held this record. "This has been the hardest thing of my life and I'm glad I did it. We did it. Whatever you want to do, you can do it," declared Cenat. He attracted a sizable community of internet audiences thanks to his distinctive and compelling content. And together with his admirers, Twitch also acknowledges Cenat's accomplishments. We are excited to see what they create together next." He was also recognized by the platform as "The New King of Twitch" in a tweet.

More details

Kai Cenat announced the thrilling 30-day Mafiathon event in late January. This began on February 1 and will conclude on March 2. According to Game Rant, this is a special kind of live broadcast where each subscription that the streamer receives lengthens the duration of the entire stream. In addition, the purpose of this event is to determine how long the stream would last if viewers kept watching it on Twitch. Moreover, Ludwig's subscription total is anticipated to be surpassed at some point, but no one anticipated that Cenat, who averaged just 5,000 viewers in April 2021, would set a new record. Beginning in 2023, he enjoyed a subscription boost of 50,000 on average. Yet, without a subathon, Ninja reached 269,000 subscribers in 2018. And while 100,000 subscribers was already a significant number in Twitch during that year, for some this was already a milestone. According to Dexerto, Ludwig was largely responsible for the enormous popularity of subathons. While two hundred thousand people are watching the show, he used the word "legendary" to describe reaching the highest Twitch subscriber mark.
