Kindle You Can Write On, Amazon Offers the Kindle Scribe E Ink Tablet

The most recent Kindle is the actual new model. Its name is the Kindle Scribe, and it has two functions: reading and writing. The $339.99 Scribe tries to be as much a tablet as an ebook reader with a 10.2-inch E Ink screen, a stylus that attaches to the side of the device, and new software. It is currently up for preorder, and Amazon assures us that it will be released before the holidays. Additionally, it is the product consumers have been waiting for Amazon to produce for years. When purchasing it, you can choose two stylus alternatives: a "Basic Pen" or, for $30 more, a "Premium Pen" with a programmable shortcut button and an eraser sensor.  amazon kindle scribe Both devices are battery- and charger-free and magnetically attached to the side of the Scribe using the same Wacom EMR technology. Amazon has included new note-taking features in its reader that allow you to tap on a passage and scribble a note, just like you would highlight or type a note on the on-screen keyboard.  Additionally, working with charts and graphics should be easier on the larger screen. Even better would be a color E Ink screen, but it is reportedly for a later model of the Kindle. The gadget can show stored websites and other file formats and supports PDF markup. Even more, Amazon and Microsoft collaborated to provide a button to Word that allows you to export documents directly to your Kindle.  Currently, the Kindle app on other devices won't let you read your notes, but Amazon promises that will change shortly. amazon kindle scribe According to Amazon, most users will likely hold the Scribe with one hand while holding their pen in the other. It is slightly lighter and thinner than the most recent iPad Air due to its 5.8mm thickness and 430g weight. Amazon gauges the Scribe's success in weeks and aspires to tempt consumers with a distraction-free device for reading and taking notes over one that is essentially a tool for endless diversion. The Scribe is still a Kindle, but it moves Amazon's ebook reader lineup closer to accurately simulating all you can do with an actual book. However, the paper battery still lasts longer, so Amazon has work to do.
