Kit Harington is keeping his future plans a secret regarding the future of his
Game of Thrones character Jon Snow. Jimmy Fallon, the host of
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, questioned the 36-year-old actor on Friday's broadcast on the veracity of rumors regarding a potential spin-off series about Snow.
However, Harington gave a simple response, and told Fallon, 48, while he grinned and scratched his ear: "I don't know. Do you want to have it?"
Furthermore,
The Hollywood Reporter first revealed that a follow-up television series based on Harington's character was in the works back in June 2022. And even while the actor has been mum about any character recurrences, and told Fallon, "I can't say anything," regarding the upcoming series, he said there is one reason he would do a spin-off: to gain more notoriety.
Harington joked, "I don't know, man ... I walk down the street and I get recognized a little less nowadays, and it kind of hurts my ego, you know? I'm pretty close to like putting on some furs."

He added, "I got a tally in my head of how few photos I get asked for in a day. And when it gets below a certain number, I think I'll do a spin-off."
Additionally, Fallon then delivered a humorous PSA and advised "fans of Kit Harington" to "not ask him" for a picture. He stated, "If you do it for the next two days, by Monday we could have an answer, and we could see a
Game of Thrones spin-off right now with Jon Snow. We'll do this together."

The GoT discussion got going when Jimmy Fallon questioned Kit Harington about going to the official
Game of Thrones conference in Los Angeles in December. At the gathering, Harington spoke candidly about how he thought his Snow character was faring following the 2019 finale of the series.
Harington remarked of attending the event, "It was a bit like going back in time. I know it's only been four years or something, but it feels longer. And I went to it, and it's nice seeing the fans. It's kind of amazing that that show's still got such a fanbase and it's continuing on in its own way."

Moreover, according to reports, at the conference, he also disclosed that Snow was "not okay" where fans last saw him.
On another note, Maisie Williams exclusively told PEOPLE that they had a "rich show, and there's still so much story to tell" on the possibilities of a new Snow series when attending the Cannes Lions Festival with Spotify.
Williams, 25, who portrayed Arya Stark, Snow's sibling, remarked, "I think it's really exciting, and I think that Kit is such a phenomenal actor. Him playing Jon Snow was just like a cultural reset. I think everything that he touches is magic, and I'm excited to see what it's going to be."
