Here Is a List of iPhone Models That Support E-sims

Over the years, Apple has used various SIMs (subscriber identification modules) for iPhones. At first, Apple started using mini SIM in iPhones, followed by micro SIM, which the company launched with iPhone 4 and 4S. After that, Apple shifted to nano SIM with iPhone 5, which has been in use until now. But, over the last few years, an eSIM or embedded SIM has become a more convenient option for users. The eSIMs make it easier for customers to connect with carriers and use two different lines with one iPhone. Besides, since it's digital, users don't need to replace it with a physical card when changing carriers.  iPhone Models That Have eSims Furthermore, users can check if their iPhone has an eSIM in Settings > Cellular Add eSIM or Add Cellular plan

  • iPhone 12 Pro Max (eSIM + nano SIM)
  • iPhone 12 Pro (eSIM + nano SIM)
  • iPhone 12 (eSIM + nano SIM)
  • iPhone 12 mini (eSIM + nano SIM)
  • iPhone SE 2nd Gen (eSIM + nano SIM)
  • iPhone 11 Pro Max (eSIM + nano SIM)
  • iPhone 11 Pro (eSIM + nano SIM)
  • iPhone 11 (eSIM + nano SIM)
  • iPhone XR (eSIM + nano SIM)

Additionally, iPhone X and all the other earlier models do not support eSIM. They are compatible with physical SIM only. iPhone Models That Have eSims   On another note, eSIMs are better than physical SIMs as they are small. Thus, they allow extra room for other components under the hood or even a larger battery. Hence, it is best to know if a user's iPhone has an eSIM and, if it does, whether it supports dual eSIMs.
