Despite its utility, Google Lens is easily overlooked, even when placed front and center on the Google Pixel 6. Depending on your device, you can access Google Lens in a variety of ways. iPhone users can access the feature through a variety of apps, whereas Android users have more options. Let's find out.
Google Lens App - Download the app from the Play Store to add it to your home screen. However, you do not need an app to use the lens.
Google Search Widget - The Google Search widget includes a Lens button. To open the app, tap the Lens button.
Google Photos - Open Google Photos and tap the Lens button in the lower-right corner of the screen.
Camera app - You may be able to open Lens in your camera depending on the app. To access Lens, tap the Modes button on Google Camera.
Uses Of Google Lens
Google Lens is powered by advanced machine learning, which allows it to recognize objects in photos and recommend appropriate actions. Here are some examples of Lens applications:
Insert a business card contact.
- To read reviews, take a picture of the book's cover.
- Add flier or billboard events to your calendar.
- Recognize animals and plants.
- Scan barcodes to find out where you can purchase a product.
To see what Google Lens can do, point it at objects and see what results you get.
How To Use Google Lens?
Google Lens can be used with a screenshot or a photo. By default, the app is divided into two halves. The bottom half of the page can be expanded to show photos. You can let Lens work its magic by tapping an image here. Alternatively, you can use the top viewfinder to take a photo of something. Whatever method you use, Google Lens displays a row of search options along the bottom of your screen. Select the Search option to display generic results, or one of the other options if you have a specific purpose in mind (for example, to solve a math problem or translate text). You can also use the small magnifying glass in the lower-right corner of the original photo to narrow down your search with text.
