Mario Day: Nintendo Discounts Best Switch Games Featuring Everyone's Favorite Plumber

Source: Wired Nintendo has once again celebrated March 10th as Mario Day, a day dedicated to the company's popular and beloved hero, plumber, and mascot, Mario. The day is a clever marketing campaign, playing on the wordplay of "Mar10" which easily translates to "Mario." To honor this occasion, Nintendo discounted several of their best Switch games featuring the little mustachioed man himself. The deals are available at multiple retailers, including Amazon, Walmart, Target, GameStop, Best Buy, and Nintendo's own online store. They will be available until March 11th, so if you are a Mario fan and looking to pad your Switch libraries, now is the time to grab them. Though most of the games on sale do not represent all-time lows, it is relatively rare to see steeper discounts on first-party Switch games. U Deluxe, the chaotic party game Mario Party Superstars, the arcade golfer Mario Golf: Super Rush, the level creation toy Super Mario Maker 2, the gorgeous 2D platformer Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, the adorable ghost-capturing adventure Luigi's Mansion 3, and the accessible platformer Yoshi's Crafted World. Mario If you are looking for a good deal on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo also offers a Switch bundle for Mario Day. Starting at $300, the bundle pairs the standard, non-OLED Switch with a download code for one of three Mario games: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey, or New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. Each of these games usually retails for around $50 outside of sales like this week's, so this is an excellent opportunity to save a few bucks. Also Read: Super Mario Bros. While some may argue that this bundle is not a great deal, considering the newer Switch OLED is only $50 more, the fact remains that there is no power difference between the two models. The bundle is available at Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and Nintendo's online store. Beyond Mario matters, the latest deals roundup includes Amazon's Fire TV 4K Max on sale for an all-time low of $35, the Apple Pencil down to $89, a $50 discount on Bose's QuietComfort Earbuds II, and more. Super Mario Bros Moreover, the Xbox Series X is down to $450 at Verizon, which is a rare $50 discount on Microsoft's highest-end Xbox console. The Series X itself is still lacking in must-play exclusives, but its hardware handles 4K gaming with ease, and Xbox Game Pass remains a superb value for those who like to sample lots of new releases. For a cheaper route into the Xbox ecosystem, Microsoft has the Xbox Series S available for $240, which is technically $60 off the device's list price. Though this is a deal we've seen several times in recent months, the Series S is still an excellent option for gamers. It lacks a disc drive and isn't designed for 4K resolutions like the Series X, but it can still play all the same games as its bigger sibling, its SSD is still quick for loading, and its diminutive design is easier to fit on a desk or TV stand. Lastly, Amazon's most powerful 4K streaming stick, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, is available for $35 at Amazon and Target, which is the device's lowest price to date. The stick's 4K support, Alexa integration, and powerful processor make it an excellent option for streaming movies and shows, playing games, and much more.
