Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, stated earlier this month that the business is trying to add the function and improve search (or merely search because users can now only search for usernames on the site). He stated that it would be prepared within "the next few weeks." Mosseri wrote on Threads last week that Meta had been trying "an early version internally for a week or two" but that it "needs some work" before it can be released to the public. It attracted a lot of corporations and celebrities and quickly surpassed 100 million users, but it lacked a few crucial elements that the company has been gradually introducing. The business just added a "follow feed" and the option to validate a link to your Mastodon profile. This suggests that Meta may be at least partly serious about integrating with the decentralized social network protocol Activity Pub.
