Mexico launches Roku Channel

For the first time outside of the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, Roku introduced the Roku Channel in Mexico. The Roku Channel, which provides access to thousands of free, ad-supported movies and TV episodes, will be accessible in Mexico starting on Thursday, October 13. More than 30 Roku original series are included in the list, including the suspenseful "Operación Marea Negra," the crime drama "Natural Born Narco," and the Zo Saldaa-narrated environmental documentary series "Mamas." "El Sorprendente Hombre Araa 2," "Psicópata Americano," "Draft Day," "El Patriota," "El lado luminoso de la vida," "Lluvia de hamburguesas 2," "Hombres de negro II," and "Whip It" are among the titles that are now accessible. Owners of a Roku streaming player or Roku TV model can access The Roku Channel totally free and without a login or membership. The company's current international partners, such as Sony Pictures and Lionsgate, as well as regional partners like Telefórmula, provide content for the Roku Channel Mexico. The Roku Channel in Mexico includes more than 25 live TV channels at launch in addition to on-demand content, including those from Telefórmula, Canela TV, Novelisima, and Runtime Espanol. According to Rob Holmes, vice president of programming at Roku, "Launching the Roku Channel in Mexico signals a key moment for our business as we continue to expand internationally and provide streamers with free access to outstanding entertainment and news content." Mexico launches Roku Channel According to Mirjam Laux, vice president of international advertising and content at Roku, "we are thrilled to match that demand with the debut of The Roku Channel in Mexico." Free content is one of the most frequently searched categories on the Roku platform. The faux biopic "Weird: The Al Yankovic Story," featuring Daniel Radcliffe as the legendary musical parodyist, will debut on the Roku Channel on November 5 and is one of Roku's biggest original films to date. In Mexico, Roku streaming devices like the Roku Express start at 899 pesos ($45). Additionally, Roku partners with TV manufacturers like Hisense, TCL, ATVIO, HKPRO, InFocus, JVC, Philips, Sanyo, Sharp, Aiwa, Daewoo, and Sansui to sell Roku TV models in screen sizes between 32 and 65 inches in HD, 4K, and 8K Ultra HD.
