Microsoft Again Testing Its Tablet-Friendly Taskbar in Windows 11

Reportedly, Microsoft is restoring its tablet-friendly Taskbar in the latest preview of Windows 11. Considerably, Microsoft tenaciously makes Windows 11 more tablet-friendly: the company is revamped to the idea of the Taskbar, designed for use on devices with touch screens. Additionally, for the first time, it tried to execute such a Panel back in February but later “returned” it for revision. And now, in about six months, Microsoft has again put in place the “touch” Taskbar in the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25197  to test the build for Windows Insiders.  Microsoft revealed in a blog post that the Taskbar is part of an update rolling out to Windows Insiders in the developer channel and is only available for PCs that can be used as tablets like 2-in-1s, i,e, “transformer laptops,” but not for regular laptops or desktops. However, the Taskbar itself is designed to be hidden when a tablet user isn’t using it, allowing more needed screen space. So, when it’s hidden, it shows “critical” things like the time and battery percentage. On the contrary, when it’s expanded, it reveals several apps, widgets, and the Start button, and it looks more suitable for touch when in use.  Substantially, when such a “transformer” switches to tablet mode, for instance, the keyboard is detached from it or it “folds” into the type of a tablet, the Taskbar immediately shortens into an inactive position, and only “critical” information is displayed on its time, charge level, etc. Moreover, in the “expanded” state, program icons, the Start button, and widgets display on the Taskbar, which becomes worth considerable compared to the “traditional” version for more convenient use on the touch screen. Furthermore,  Insider Preview Build 25197 also makes superficial changes to the system tray, like slightly different handling of moving icons. Also, it adds animated icons to the navigation bar of the Settings system app. Meanwhile, Microsoft is also coming with other features that work on non-2-in-1 devices in its newest update, specifically to its System Tray. Also, these updates include bug fixes to the Settings, Widgets, Task Manager, and Windowing.
