Microsoft is making the updated version of Outlook for Windows available to all Office testers.  Thanks to the new Outlook for Windows application, the desktop email client will resemble the web version much more. Furthermore, Microsoft has been working on this revamp for several months and earlier this year made a semi-public beta version available. Margie Clinton, group product manager on the Outlook team, notes, "Since then, we've heard helpful feedback from Office Insiders on Beta Channel on how to provide a more consistent, feature-rich experience. Since May, we have listened to user comments and diligently improved the new Outlook for Windows.” Microsoft New Outlook The updated Outlook now supports personal Outlook.com, Hotmail, or Windows Live email accounts for Windows clients, which wasn't the case in earlier beta versions.  With dynamic calendar column widths for more incredible customizability, Microsoft also incorporated a streamlined Ribbon to enhance the interface. Office Insiders will be able to use the new app on the Current Channel beta, and according to Microsoft, Windows Insiders will soon be able to access it via a toggle in the Windows Mail app. Even if the UI and style of the new Outlook for Windows are undoubtedly better, the current email client still lacks several functionalities. Microsoft New Outlook Microsoft claims it is trying to allow multiple email accounts within the same app and support outside email accounts like Gmail, Yahoo, and iCloud. Along with the search for folders, web add-ins compatibility, native ICS support, additional visual changes, and customizing choices, offline support is also coming soon. Microsoft intends to eventually replace the Outlook for Windows email client with this improved software.  Although the switch may take several months or perhaps years, all Office testers can now get a head start on Microsoft's proposed modifications.
