Minor SBC revisions for the ASUS Tinker Board R2.0 are available for US$95 with Rockchip RK3288

Photo Credit: Tinker Board-Asus A single-board computer on a tight budget, the ASUS Tinker Board R2.0 is powered by outdated ARM Cortex-A17 CPU cores. Only 2 GB of RAM is offered with the Tinker Board R2.0, which is also available without eMMC flash storage. An update to its previous Tinker Board S, ASUS has released the Tinker Board R2.0. Surprisingly, despite releasing the Tinker Board S in 2018, ASUS has not updated the Rockchip RK3288 SoC. For comparison, the Rockchip RK3288 has a Mali-T764 CPU running at 600 MHz in addition to four ARM Cortex-A17 CPU cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. Photo Credit: PCMag Similar to its predecessor, the Tinker Board R2.0 keeps its 40-pin GPIO header and 2 GB of DDR3 RAM. In addition, the gadget offers four USB 2.0 Type-A connections, an HDMI 2.0 port, Gigabit Ethernet, and a Micro SD card slot. But using a new, unnamed Bluetooth chip, ASUS has upgraded the single-board computer (SBC) from Bluetooth 4.0 to Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity. Unsurprisingly, the new Tinker Board keeps the same 85.6 x 54 cm size factor as its predecessor.
