Morgan Evans has spoken up in response to Kelsea Ballerini's public comments regarding their divorce. The "Young Again" singer appeared to address Ballerini's impending
Call Her Daddy podcast episode on Tuesday, in which she's anticipated to divulge fresh information regarding their split.
Additionally, 37-year-old Evans expressed his sadness on Instagram and wrote: "It's really sad for me to see this person, who I spent so much of my life with, and loved with all my heart, saying things that aren't reality and that leave out what really happened."
He continued: "She knows I'm not the type of guy to speak on those things publicly. If this is what she needs to heal, I hope it helps. All I ask is if that you're on my pages, please don't be mean. Don't be mean to Kelsea, don't be mean to each other."
The last line of his message read, "Life's too short."

For those unaware, after nearly five years of marriage, the "I Quit Drinking" singer filed for divorce from Evans in August. In addition, their divorce was eventually finalized in November. And
Outer Banks actor Chase Stokes, who previously told PEOPLE that he and the country singer "have just been spending some time together," has since been associated with her.
On another note, during a visit to the
Bobby Bones Show, Evans talked openly about the experience of moving on. He remarked, "It was really tough. The only thing you can control is you, and how you feel and what you're doing."
