Mother killed in front of daughter by ‘frentic’ ex BF in murder-suicide

According to authorities and the victim's family, a "obsessed" ex-boyfriend killed his ex-girlfriend in front of her 8-year-old daughter outside Texas Children's Hospital before turning the gun on himself in a tragic murder-suicide. The violence happened on Sunday shortly after 2 p.m. as the couple and the child arrived at the Houston medical center in a car. In the car, next to the body of her unnamed boyfriend, police discovered the woman, later identified by family as 32-year-old Kenia Osorio, shot to death. The woman's 8-year-old daughter, who was terrified, was unharmed in the backseat. According to Osorio's relatives, who spoke to station ABC13, the victim's lover was obsessed with her and enraged that she had reconciled with her husband and desired a reconciliation. According to Carlos Rivera, Osorio's brother, "as far as we know, he very much became obsessed since she decided to sort things out with her husband and get back together with him." A preliminary inquiry indicates that Osorio and the guy were driving to the hospital to take care of the woman's daughter, according to Fox 26. The man allegedly shot Osorio as she attempted to get out of the car when they parked on the West Campus, then turned the gun on himself in the front passenger seat. The woman's youngster was unharmed while she was riding in the backseat. “Everything happened in front of my niece. I’m sure it’s hard for her to deal with that,” Rivera said. According to Osorio's family, the 32-year-old woman was married but going through a divorce with her husband when she started dating the gunman a few months ago. But recently, Osorio and her estranged partner chose to reconcile and remain together for the benefit of their two kids. The son and daughter of Osorio are now in the custody of their grieving father.
