Moto Edge 40: A Mid-Range Smartphone with 108MP Camera and 144Hz Display

source: GizChina Motorola has recently launched its new smartphone, the Moto Edge 40, with a 108MP camera and 144Hz display. This device is an upgrade to last year's Moto Edge 20 and comes with new and improved features.

Design and Display

The Moto Edge 40 features a 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It has a high refresh rate of 144Hz and supports HDR10+ for improved visuals. The phone also comes with a punch-hole cutout for the front camera. The device has a sleek and modern design, with a frosted glass back and an aluminum frame. It is available in two colors, Luminous Ocean and Electric Graphite.

Camera

One of the most notable features of the Moto Edge 40 is its 108MP primary camera, which is supported by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera is 32MP and is placed in the punch-hole cutout on the display. The camera app also comes with a range of features, including Night Vision mode for low-light photography, Super Zoom for capturing distant subjects, and a Pro mode for manual adjustments.

Performance and Battery Life

The Moto Edge 40 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, which provides a fast and responsive performance. It has 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, depending on the variant. The device comes with a 4500mAh battery and supports fast charging of up to 30W. Software and Other Features

The Moto Edge 40 runs on Android 11 out of the box and comes with Moto's custom user interface. The device also supports 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.1. Other features of the phone include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and support for NFC. Price and Availability

The Moto Edge 40 is currently available for purchase, with a starting price of  $400 for the 6GB/128GB variant. The 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants are priced at  $430 and  $470 respectively. Overall, the Moto Edge 40 is a mid-range smartphone with impressive features, such as its 108MP camera and 144Hz display. It also has a sleek and modern design and a fast and responsive performance. However, its pricing may be a bit steep for some consumers, especially with the increasing competition in the mid-range smartphone market.
