The big exterior display and user interface of the foldable Motorola Razr are now even more clearly seen in the most recent leaks of the device, first noticed by 9to5Google. You can see how the display extends from the phone’s hinge and wraps over the device’s dual cameras in a series of photographs shared on Twitter by reputable leaker Evan Blass (who has hidden his account).
The photos also showcase a variety of clock displays that you can use and imply that you can alter the typeface, style, color, theme, and background of the interface to your preference. The image above shows two cellphones with a deep red hinge, suggesting that Motorola may also introduce a new color choice.
According to Blass, the smartphone in the image is a “Motorola Razr 40 Ultra,” which is consistent with rumors that the next-generation Razr will be available in two versions: the normal Ultra model and the Razr Lite. According to a Motorola executive’s teaser on Weibo, the Razr Ultra will have a 3.5-inch cover display, but the Razr Lite is expected to have a much smaller exterior display that only covers the cameras.
If these rumors are true, the Razr Ultra will have a bigger external display than its folding competitors, such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4’s 1.9-inch cover display and the Oppo Find N2 Flip’s 3.26-inch external display. A larger outer display could increase the usefulness of a folding gadget by enabling you to send a fast text message or receive more comprehensive notifications at a glance without having to unfold the device.

Given that Samsung is anticipated to enhance its Galaxy Z Flip 5 with a larger external display when it releases the device this summer, the Razr’s wide cover display may not have an advantage over rivals for long. Just one month before Samsung is anticipated to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Motorola could introduce its new Razr foldables as early as June 1.
