There is a tentative release date for the mysterious Nothing Phone (2), but Nothing is mum on additional information.
The Phone (2) is definitely coming, according to a brief and straightforward message from the official Nothing Twitter account, which also promises that the next flagship will be “Nothing at its best.” However, it’s still unclear how much better it might be than its predecessor.
Nothing According to Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing, who was interviewed by Inverse, US citizens who wanted a Nothing Phone (1) either to import one or pay $299 for a limited “beta membership.” In contrast, Pei claims in the same interview that Nothing will give the US market more thought for its following phone, the Nothing Phone (2).
Pei said, without providing any further details, that the Phone (2) will be “more premium” than the Phone (1), much like the present (vague) promotion for the new phone. The only thing we have to go on is a heavily cropped looping video showing what appears to be the rear of the new hardware with a blinking red light.
Despite the lack of official information, we can make some reasonably secure predictions about the Nothing Phone (2) before it is made available. It appears that the visually distinctive Glyph interface of the Phone (1) may be gone—or potentially hidden behind less transparent glass—if the teaser video actually depicts the rear of the Phone (2).

Furthermore, given that it was a key component of the initial hardware, it’s likely that the Nothing OS, which is powered by Android 13 will return. Although there’s no way to know for sure yet, it’s not unreasonable to think that the Phone (2) will gradually improve the display, camera system, battery life, and performance.
Nothing anticipates releasing the Phone (2) in the UK at a future time “this summer,” which could occur at any point between the start of June and the end of August.
