Emma Webster spoke to prison inmates and also sent naked selfies of herself with two of the guys housed in HMP Lincoln. Before other staff members raised an eyebrow, the 34-year-old's connections with the detainees took place between August and November of last year. Both guys had added a "Emma Smith" to their list of contacts in the outside world, as the guards in charge of listening to phone calls discovered. One of the staff members quickly realized he recognized the person on the other end of the phone after noticing parallels between Emma Smith and Webster, such as their birth dates. Emma Webster In addition to 75 calls with Jimmy Bennet, prison administrators also recorded 17 calls with Bradley Bramwell in which they had phone sex. The court heard how Webster gave Bramwell the address of a cousin so she could get gifts from him and that they had mutual contacts outside of prison. ‘She formed an inappropriate relationship with two inmates… ‘The relationship extended to accepting gifts and unauthorised contact by both letter and phone call on occasions of a sexual nature.’

The connection collapsed over whether or not Webster had received a gift worth £200 after several very sexually explicit phone calls, and contact was cut off. Eight days later, the prison officer changed wings and began conversing with Jimmy Bennet. HMP Lincoln While Miss Webster was on night shifts, Jimmy Bennet, another prisoner, appeared to be pressing his cell bell more frequently, Ms. Fisher continued. Emma Smith had also been added to his phone list. Eight days after Miss Webster and Mr. Bramwell's relationship ended, "phone calls between them began on October 25." The guard confided in the prisoner that she loved him and considered him to be her boyfriend during one private conversation. Defense attorney Neil Sands claimed that after a relationship ended, her client behaved in an abnormal manner. The mother of two from Lincoln admitted guilt at an earlier hearing to a charge of misconduct in public service. Judge Sjolin Knight gave her a 14-month sentence after noting that the defendant had been coerced by the couple but had instead "chased the spotlight." "You held a position of trust and power at HMP Lincoln, a category B jail," she added. "You kept in touch with them through letters, phone calls, and sneaking items into jail."
