OnePlus Nord N300 to charge faster than Pixel 7 Pro, but it comes with a price

We can't seem to go more than a few weeks without wanting to hear about a new OnePlus device. Whether it's a flagship phone like the OnePlus 10T or a mid-range offering like the Nord 2T, the company has done an excellent job this year of delivering smartphones in every price range imaginable. Today, the company teased the forthcoming Nord N300 for the very first time, and so far, it appears to be a worthy rival to the Galaxy A-series. The Nord N300 is a successor to the Nord N200, which was released last year. The N200 set the gold standard for what you could expect from a cheap 5G phone. It couldn't compete with flagship phones, but at $240, it was tough to beat. OnePlus Nord N300

The Nord N300 will have a 33W wired charging speed that puts Google's Pixel 7, the Pixel 7 Pro, and Samsung's smallest Galaxy S22 to shame. Charging speeds are faster than some of the flagships from Samsung and Google. So apart from fast charging, the N300 will feature a MediaTek processor (rather than Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 4 Gen 1) and, more importantly, a 90Hz display. That's a significant improvement over the N200's standard 60Hz 1080p panel. OnePlus' first official render also shows off a refined design that draws inspiration from this year's excellent Nord N20 5G, which we commended as one of the best affordable phones you can buy today. This is fantastic news for fans of the company hoping for one last phone before the end of the year. The OnePlus 11 Pro is still a few months away, but if you're looking for a cheap smartphone before the holidays, the N300 appears to be a viable option. More information will be released as the launch date approaches in November.
