Pixel Tablet Dock Also Acts As A Smart Display

In the much-awaited event of 2022, the Pixel 7 and watches were launched on the 6th of October, and also the company spoke about Pixel Tablet and its dock. The company spoke at length about the Pixel tablet which will be shipped only by 2023 but unveiled its dock for the phone to sit on, like Google smart display. It has pogo pins at the back and a charging speaker in the other half of the connection which is similar to Nest Hub with cohesive hardware. The software side seems unchanged but the rumor has it that the dock is a smart display. Android 13 with hub mode looks like it is customized for the Pixel tablet that can be viewed across the room. However, the tablet in docked mode looked like a normal interface.

The dock appears like Nest Hub but the software does not which is startling as the latter can run fine with Android phones with no vital difference and interestingly, Google smart displays ran Android earlier. It is not that Nest Hub is the only choice but it could have been a 10-foot interface. The addition in the smart display is the idle mode for a screen saver that shows the clock and photos slideshow. The company stated that the tablet's body is made of aluminum but with a nano-ceramic coating that is inspired by porcelain’s fine texture. This coating gives a soft, matte and textured feel, just like Pixel 7, it is also coming from the same Tensor G2 SoC.
