Pornhub slams Instagram, "allowing Kim's nudes & censoring their posts"

Pornhub and a number of sex industry professionals complain that while Instagram allows nudes from famous people like Kim Kardashian, it unfairly "censors" the porn business. In a letter on Tuesday, the organization said that Instagram was selectively enforcing its content moderation rules, harming the porn sector in a way that was "violent and profoundly harmful." Instagram, however, maintains that Pornhub has frequently broken its rules. Pornhub and the pornstars wrote to Meta executives, including CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Instagram head Adam Mosseri, in a letter that was exclusively seen by The Post. “We demand an explanation and guidance as to why our accounts are continuously deleted, and why content we spend money creating in order to engage with our audience is removed, even when we do not breach any of Instagram’s rules,” the letter read. Pornhub slams Instagram for allowing Kim's nudes & 'censoring' their posts The letter was sent shortly after Instagram deactivated the official Pornhub account, which had over 13 million followers. According to Pornhub, it has never disregarded Instagram's community rules. But a Meta representative claimed to The Post that Pornhub has regularly broken the app's "sexual solicitation" prohibition, which includes forcing users to leave Instagram and visit a porn website. Instagram declined to disclose the precise number of offenses Pornhub had committed, but it claimed to have warned the website numerous times over the previous ten years that it had broken community rules. The spokesman added that Pornhub's suspension is indefinite and stated, "We've permanently deleted this Instagram account for continuously breaking our regulations." pornhub vs instagram Pornhub and the adult performers cited a butt-displaying Interview Magazine cover that Kim Kardashian uploaded on Instagram just days after Pornhub's account was suspended as proof of Instagram's alleged discrimination. The group complained that Kim Kardashian tweeted a photo of her fully exposed ass to her 330 million followers "without any restriction action from Instagram." "We are pleased to see that Kim and the creative team who created the image are free to publish their work on the platform, but we are curious as to why we are not given the same privilege," the statement reads. Members of the adult community run the risk of being deplatformed if Instagram deems that our pants look a little bit too tight to fit its arbitrary and selectively-enforced "standards," the letter continued. Kim's photo is still gaining likes and attention. Kardashian's post remained unremarked upon by Meta.
