This was shown in a hands-on video posted by YouTuber Unbox Therapy. The iPhone 14 Pro Max and its direct successor are shown in the video side by side, and as Unbox Therapy points out, the bezels on the upcoming model appear to be "almost half" as thin as those on the older model, possibly providing the best screen-to-bezel ratio of any smartphone. Both iPhone 15 Pro versions are anticipated to have bezels that are smaller and more curved than those on the iPhone 14 Pro, giving them a design reminiscent of the Apple Watch. Rumors say that the larger 6.7-inch model would have the smallest possible bezels. In order to provide a point of comparison, the bezels on the Samsung Galaxy Ultra S23 are 1.95mm thick, compared to 2.17mm on the iPhone 14 Pro. The button layout on Unbox Therapy's copy matches that of the rumored future Pro versions, with a single unified volume button and a second software-configurable button in place of the mute switch, indicating that the mockup was based on early schematics. According to current rumors, the mute switch is still absent from the iPhone 15 Pro models, but the volume buttons are now said to be distinct. The rumored solid-state haptic volume buttons and new Taptic Engine are reportedly being held off until next year's models, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. As usual, the release of Apple's new iPhone 15 series is anticipated for September.
