Image Source: Insider Gaming Capcom's latest Resident Evil remake is off to a terrific start, with the publisher stating that the game has sold over 3 million copies in only two days. The publisher made the announcement via an official press release. The press release does not specify whether this means that Resident Evil 4 Remake is now the series' fastest-selling entry, but we do know that Capcom's previous two remakes, Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 3 Remake, sold 3 million copies in three days and 2 million copies in five days, respectively. Meanwhile, Resident Evil 7 has sold over 10 million copies, according to Capcom. Since its global release in May 2021, Capcom's most recent new Resident Evil title, Resident Evil Village, has sold over 6.1 million copies. In just 9 months, the entry sold over 5.7 million copies. Quite impressive stats for Capcom's horror franchise. According to Capcom, cumulative shipments of Resident Evil games across all platforms have surpassed 135 million units since the original Resident Evil was released in 1996. Resident Evil 4 Remake is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One worldwide.
