Riot Games shakes the gaming world with its latest news. Riot Games, known for League of Legends and the animated series Arcane and Fortiche Production, the animation studio behind Arcane, have joined hands. Riot has made an equity investment in Fortiche, giving it a “significant” but non-controlling stake in the animation studio.
Riot Games and Fortiche Production have partnered earlier with the French studio producing the League of Legends spin-off series, Arcane, under the supervision of Riot Games. In fact, Riot and Fortiche have created amazing content for players for nearly a decade. They first collaborated on the 2013 music video “Get Jinxed” to celebrate the launch of the League champion Jinx. have also collaborated on multiple projects including K/DA’s “Popstars”, two Imagine Dragons team-ups, and the music video for the 2018 LoL World Championship anthem “Rise”.
Fortiche and Riot are currently collaborating on the second season of Arcane and other to-be-announced projects. “Fortiche has been an integral partner for a long time, but this agreement ensures we’ll be working closely for decades to come,” said Nicolo Laurent, CEO of Riot. “We hold a high bar for everyone we work with and insist they understand players deeply and focus on them relentlessly, and from day one, Fortiche has exemplified Player Experience First. In working with Fortiche, we collaborate to push the boundaries of what’s possible and raise expectations for how games can be represented in media. As proud as we are of Arcane, we know the best is yet to come.” We sure are excited to know about what’s to come next!
