It sounds like Rita Moreno can thank a very special member of her family for her next
Fast X role! The 91-year-old EGOT winner and her grandson Justin Fisher chatted with
Entertainment Tonight at the Los Angeles premiere of her newest movie
80 For Brady on Tuesday. Additionally, they discussed Rita Moreno's role in the upcoming 10th
Fast & Furious movie.
Furthermore, according to Fisher, he "caught up" and "grabbed drinks" with
Fast & Furious legacy star and producer Vin Diesel following the 2021 premiere of
West Side Story, and the rest is history.
Fisher told
Entertainment Tonight of Diesel, 55, "He's so fond of my grandma. I told him, 'You should work with her. You should have her be your grandma, have her slap you upside the head. Have her have a little tone because you know her: It's all tone.'"
He added, "It was my idea to get her in
Fast and Furious 10," and his grandmother later made a joke about giving him a share of her paycheck.

Moreover, Diesel posted a selfie-style video of himself with Michelle Rodriguez, his longtime co-star, to announce the renowned actress Moreno's casting in May 2022.
Diesel remarked in the video, "It's been my dream forever to work with Rita Moreno and the fact that she's here, playing my grandmother, makes my soul smile. I'm so blessed."
Additional details
At Rita Moreno's surprise 91st birthday celebration in December last year, Justin Fisher was present along with other close friends and family members. Additionally, the party, which was hosted by her daughter Fernanda Luisa Gordon, was also attended by the actress' son-in-law David Fisher and close friends, including author Amy Tan and her husband.
Lastly, while
80 for Brady hits theaters this Friday,
