According to rumors, Rivian, a manufacturer of electric vehicles, has hired the former Apple Car EV Project "senior manager."
The most recent departure from the Apple Car EV project comes as the maker of iPhones is apparently reassembling its team as it prepares to enter the rapidly growing electric vehicle (EV) market.
The Cupertino-based technology behemoth is said to have dismantled its Apple Car Project team at the beginning of this year, according to the most recent report by Notebook Check.
The iPhone manufacturer is reportedly trying to reassemble its Apple Car team before the year comes to a close. Ming-Chi Kuo, a reputable analyst, reports that Apple is reorganizing its staff in preparation for its anticipated electric vehicle (EV) ambition. The expert also mentions that Apple intends to release its first electric cars in 2025.

It is important to note that the well-known tech juggernaut has not yet publicly announced its intentions to enter the growing market for EVs, which is populated by industry titans like Tesla and well-known car manufacturers like Ford.
Despite this, various stories have indicated that there have been a number of leadership changes within the Apple Car Project. And this time, a recent report by Tesla North claims that the senior manager of the Apple Car Project has apparently quit the iPhone manufacturer. Jonathan Sive worked on Apple's covert EV project, where he was in charge of designing the hardware and the vehicles.

The Apple Car senior manager, who previously worked for other tech behemoths, is now departing the Cupertino-based computer behemoth. Sive is now a part of Rivian, another EV manufacturer, as Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman reported in his most recent Power On newsletter. Gurman makes it clear that the covert Apple Car's development "continues" even if he has left.
The former senior manager of the Apple Car project also worked for several well-known tech companies before joining the ranks of the Cupertino titan, according to Tesla North. He previously collaborated with major companies including Tesla and BMW. He also previously spent time working for Google's Waymo self-driving car project before joining Apple.
According to Sive's LinkedIn profile, he left Apple for Rivian, where he would work on the EV manufacturer's upcoming vehicles. In terms of the design of prospective Rivian cars, he observes that he would lag behind.
