"I hid myself and I would flatten my boobs," Twain said to The Times.
"I would wear bras that were too small for me, and I'd wear two, play it down until there was nothing girl about me. Make it easier to go unnoticed. Because, oh my gosh, it was terrible - you didn't want to be a girl in my house."
Twain also said it took a long time for her to let go of that anger.
"It took a long time to manage that anger," she added. "You don't want to be somebody that attacks me on the street. Because I will f***ing rip your head off if I get the chance."

Twain also said the incidents affected her perception of her body.
Canadian musician Shania Twain who is best known for singles such as, Any Man of Mine, Man! I Feel Like a Woman!, recently opened up about the measures she had to take to avoid being sexually abused by her stepfather, Jerry Twain.
The five-time Grammy Award winner stated that the incidents made it hard for her to embrace her femininity, and she was often forced to flatten her breasts in order to avoid being assaulted.

"I could speak and tell a story about myself, by the way I moved my body, the drape of the fabrics, the colors, where the focus was," Twain continued.
"I was never an exhibitionist for the sake of, like, saying, you know, 'Look at my tits.' It was really me coming into myself. It was a metamorphosis of sorts."
