CHORLEY, Lancashire: After horrifying TikTok videos of nursing home employees dancing in the hallways while donning adult diapers to taunt their elderly dementia patients went popular online, the staff at the facility was suspended.
While working at the nursing home in Chorley, Lancashire's Gillibrand Hall Nursing Home, the health staff produced a number of TikTok movies. One video shows two employees participating in a TikTok trend by recreating a scene from Disney's "The Aristocats" while going down the hallway while wearing adult diapers.
An employee of the "specialised dementia care" facility is seen in another video posing in a recliner while the Westlife song "You Raise Me Up" plays in the background. The crew could also be seen dancing while wearing face masks wrapped around cushions. The horrifying videos were first posted on TikTok, but following the outcry, the account it was associated with has been deleted.

Century Healthcare Management has suspended the employees who appeared on the video and apologised for the recording, saying the firm is now taking the "necessary action" to investigate the matter.
The statement read, "We agree that this is totally inappropriate and wrong. We are appalled at what these staff members have chosen to do and we are already taking the appropriate action including investigation and suspension of staff. We take this matter extremely seriously and do not condone these actions."

"We have been liaising with families where necessary. Our operations manager is speaking directly with our CQC inspector. Senior management and directors will be interviewing the relevant staff this week before any final decisions are made. With our sincerest apologies," the statement added.
The care home, which provides nursing, dementia, and respite care for people aged over 65, was rated as good in March by the CQC, which said its residents received 'safe care from suitably trained and qualified staff.'
