With its new Sightline AMC product, AMC Theaters will start to modify ticket prices based on the location of a seat in the theater.
Sightline Standard Sightline, Value Sightline, and Preferred Sightline are the three levels of AMC. For the same price as a regular ticket, Standard will provide patrons with the most popular seats in the auditorium. Front-row seats and a few ADA-compliant seats will be included in Value Sightline’s auditorium offerings. Value seats, including the free tier membership, will be less expensive than Standard seats but will only be accessible to AMC Stubs members. Preferred will cost more and feature seats in the center of the theater. Preferred seats can be reserved at no additional cost for AMC Stubs A-List subscribers.

This weekend, Sightline AMC will debut in a few AMC theaters in Chicago, Kansas City, and New York. By the end of 2023, AMC will take Sightline to additional markets and cities.
Eliot Hamlisch, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at AMC Theatres, stated that “Sightline at AMC more closely aligns AMC’s seat pricing approach to that of many other entertainment venues, offering experienced-based pricing and another way for moviegoers to find value at the movies.”
“While every seat at AMC offers a fantastic moviegoing experience, we are aware that some moviegoers place more importance on their specific seat than others do on the overall value of the experience. In order to give our visitors more control over their experience and make sure that every visit to an AMC is enjoyable, Sightline at AMC satisfies both feelings.
