For many years, it has given iPhone users a headache. Back in 2011, the Apple iPhone 4s was the first smartphone to feature a computerized voice assistant. It seemed like magic at the moment. But today, Google Assistant is without a doubt the best virtual assistant available. Some others contend that Siri should come in last, with Amazon's Alexa coming in second. Apple wasted its lead, and while it works to make Siri better, Google is following suit with Assistant.
Self-described Apple software expert @analyst941 tweets (via TechRadar) that the company is updating Siri's user interface, however it might not be the biggest problem for the elderly woman. According to the leaker, iOS 17 will shift the Siri interface from the bottom of the screen to the Dynamic Island at the top. At the moment, Siri is represented by an animation of a globe near the bottom of the screen when you ask her a question or give her a task, and any responses show up at the top of the screen in a sizable card.
In iOS 17, Siri's UI may be incorporated into the Dynamic Island.
The Siri UI might be moved to the Digital Island, which would simplify how Siri's responses are displayed and stop them from taking up a lot of screen space. When the four iPhone 15 models are introduced later this year, The Dynamic Island is anticipated to be present on each of them. The iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max would be the only 2022 iPhone models to benefit from any move to push Siri's UI to the shape-shifting multitasking notification center because the Dynamic Island is only on the iPhone 14 Pro models.
Mark Gurman of Bloomberg suggested another intriguing potential Siri adjustment today in his Power On email. Apple wants Siri to know all of its customers by first name. Eliminating the "Hey" from the "Hey Siri" wake phrase, which wakes the digital assistant, would be the best approach to achieve that. By doing this, users would be able to activate Siri by simply saying "Siri," making it comparable to Amazon's Alexa, which is triggered when users say "Alexa."

Ideally, iOS 17 will introduce the new Siri UI this year or next.
According to Gurman, getting rid of the "Hey" is far more difficult than it appears. According to him, it has developed into a "technical challenge" that necessitates "a significant amount of AI training and underlying engineering work."
Gurman further states that "The complexity involves Siri being able to understand the singular phrase 'Siri' in multiple different accents and dialects. Having two words – 'Hey Siri' – increases the likelihood of the system properly picking up the signal."

According to the Bloomberg reporter, Apple may include the new Siri interface in iOS 17 when it launches later this year, or it may have to wait until next year, in which case it would be included as an upgrade to iOS 17.
On June 5th, when Apple begins off WWDC 2023 and delivers the keynote presentation the same day, we should learn more about iOS 17. Through June 9th, the Worldwide Developers Conference will be held. Different iPhone models were said to be compatible with the iOS 17 update in two competing rumors. Originally, one tipper said that the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, first-generation iPad Pro (9.7-inch and 12.9-inch), and fifth-generation iPad will be the Apple devices losing support for the upcoming iOS and iPadOS versions.
