Starbucks Employee Denounces Customer’s Hack

There are numerous hacks for your Starbucks order on the internet, but this one went too far. Consequently, this week, a Massachusetts employee of the famed coffee company startled users on TikTok by displaying a life-audacious hacker's attempt to grab a free beverage. Furthermore, barista Sinead Robbins posted a picture of a label indicating a customer had just bought a 5-cent bag in the online app before attempting to include their entire drink order in the extra "order request" section. The client wrote: "Hi, could I please have a grande strawberry creme frap with no whipped cream and a strawless lid,” before adding in a cheerful “thank you!” However, Robbins was not impressed by the trick. The 22-year-old Starbucks barista says in the video, which received over 4.2 million views, "This is not a Starbucks hack. It was a little bit funny, but it won’t work. We canceled the order." Robbins continued, "Don't do this." Starbucks Employee Denounces Customer’s Hack

People's reactions

On the other hand, many users questioned whether anyone had actually tried to save money by doing this. One user commented, "I would’ve poured the frappe into the bag." Another joked, "Teenagers watching too many ‘hacks’ on TikToks lol." Whereas another wrote, "I worked at a restaurant, and people would do this all the time and ask for extra food in the special instructions instead of paying for it??” Meanwhile, some claimed that they would have just made the order. One woman commented, "Am I the only one who would actually make it for them?? And this is coming from someone who works at Starbucks." "Same," another concurred. "I don’t get paid enough to care."

What's more

Starbucks employees, in particular, use TikTok to gripe about orders and hacks they detest making and the kinds of clients they dislike serving. In fact, the app has become a sanctuary for fast-food workers to voice their pet peeves.
