Switch Android Emulator Skyline Halts Development After Receiving 'Takedown Notice' From Nintendo

The group acknowledged receiving a DMCA takedown notice from Nintendo in a Discord post. The problem is that the takedown is actually connected to Lockpick on GitHub, a piece of homebrew software that allows for the extraction of Switch security keys for use with this emulator. Lockpick, in Nintendo's opinion, breaches and circumvents its own copy protections. Skyline is no longer being developed, although the developer maintains that the emulator is still technically legal; as a result, the repository and software builds will continue to be accessible for the foreseeable future.
