Tecno Unveils Phantom Vision V Concept: A Smartphone Combining Foldable and Rollable Display Tech

Although its version also manages to transform into a 10-inch tablet on command, Tecno has unveiled its take on the foldable smartphone. The new rollable display type is included to do this. Although Samsung and TCL might disagree, the OEM promotes the Phantom Vision V as evidence of its dedication to "innovation." A flexible display smartphone prototype that can perform more than even the most advanced foldable smartphones of the present has apparently been finished by Tecno. Like the OPPO Find N2 or Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4, it can be held like a (sort of) conventionally-sized smartphone or a tiny tablet, but it goes beyond that because one "half" of its main screen is extensible. But much like with its X2 Pro, which was advertised as a world first despite the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom's availability and potential for making the same claim, it appears to have forgotten that equivalent prior IP existed. TCL, for instance, might dispute Tecno's claims because their Fold 'n Roll concept really predates Tecno's claims on this prototype design. Samsung is one company that has patented the rollable display. On the other hand, the Phantom Vision V is enhanced with unique modifications. For instance, it is shown to have three screens: the cover, an unfolded main display that is "ultra-durable," and a "Delicate Multi-Functional Display" that can serve as a clock and is located beneath the huge camera hump that resembles the Phantom X2. A "patented, long-lasting" hinge and "aerospace-grade titanium alloy case" are also provided by Tecno, along with what may be concrete specifications for a real-world product. Despite having the potential to transform into a "10.1-inch Super-Immersive" tablet when necessary, the Vision V is also said to advance in folding technology in areas like bezel size and total footprint. Therefore, it's possible that Tecno will be the first to introduce this new form factor to the market.
