One of the top five most-underrated apps, Telegram has around 700 million monthly active users. It enables its users to continue to support its development and also enjoy more benefits by launching a Telegram Premium subscription at $5 for custom icons, no ads, and more. On Sunday, Telegram stated in a statement: “This growth is solely from personal recommendations. Telegram has never paid to advertise its apps.”
The statement further read, “We’re launching ‘Telegram Premium,’ a subscription that lets users support Telegram’s continued development and gives them access to exclusive additional features.”
The new telegram feature, Telegram Premium subscription, will enable the users to enjoy added benefits like- 4 GB file uploads, doubled limits, exclusive stickers, and reactions, faster downloads, enhanced chat management, and more. However, the non-premium telegram users can also get some benefits of the premium package, as they will be able to download large documents, view stickers sent by premium users, and tap to increase counters on premium reactions that were already added to a message.
Any Telegram user can now upload large documents and media files, each up to 2 GB in size, and enjoy the unlimited storage capacity in Telegram Cloud without additional charges. Although, the premium users now can upload the larger files up to 4GB in size at the fastest possible speed.
The premium users can add more characters to the media captions as they can write more detailed bio description and also include a link to it.
The following are the premium perks that Telegram allows its users:
- You can upload 4GB files at the fastest possible speed.
- You can organize your chats into 20 folders, holding 200 chats each.
- You can pin ten chats in your main list and reserve up to 20 public t.me links.
- You can save 400 favorite GIFs and ten favorite stickers.
- Voice-to-text transcriptions.
- You will get a Premium badge on your profile.
However, Telegram Premium is currently not available for Android users. Also, its free users for iOS version 8.8i can enjoy new features like public groups supporting join requests, a new animation while sharing files, support for 120Hz ProMotion display, and more.
