The 200 MP Camera on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Is Wild

Samsung discontinued the Galaxy Note series, and the stylus and design were combined into the Galaxy S22 Ultra from the previous year. It was one of the greatest Android smartphones of 2022, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the 2023 version, has just been released. Following numerous rumors, Samsung has officially revealed the Galaxy S23 Ultra along with the Galaxy S23 and S23+ at the company's Unpacked event. The S23 Ultra, however, stood out as the show's undisputed star. At first glance, it might be difficult to tell Samsung's newest ultra-premium smartphone from the S22 Ultra; the two devices have nearly identical designs, right down to the squared-off shape, camera configuration, and bottom S Pen slot. But there are some modifications. Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Hands-On Impressions - IGN Photo Credit: IGN First off, this time around's camera is significantly better. The Galaxy S23 Ultra is the first Ultra model from Samsung to feature a 200MP camera, upping the megapixel count from the three previous models' 108MP cameras. Samsung is not the first manufacturer to put a 200 MP camera on a smartphone, but it aims to outperform other OEMs with features like pixel binning that goes as low as 50MP and 12MP. If you want, you can still use the entire 200MP. Similar to the Galaxy S23 and S23+, the S23 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, a Samsung-only chip that, in the words of the manufacturer, enables "the world's fastest mobile graphics," making the phone ideal for playing games and losing yourself in them. However, many other features carry over from the S22 Ultra, including a 5,000 mAh battery, a 6.8-inch QHD+ curved 120Hz display, up to 12GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. Additionally, the phone has Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E compatibility.
