Xiaomi's subsidiary Poco has stepped up to fill the void left behind as Xiaomi concentrates more on its high-end and premium offerings. Despite being less expensive than the competition, the Poco F4 and X4 GT last year impressed us with their svelte design and potent gaming technology. With the F5 Pro and F5, Poco is back in 2023 with a premium design, more potent internals, and many brand-first features. The business's most recent flagship device is the Poco F5 Pro. It has a 6.67-inch 120Hz QHD+ OLED panel with a 1,400 nits maximum stated brightness with 1920Hz PWM dimming. The premium phone from Poco is the first to have a display screen with a resolution higher than FHD+. The phone's IP53-certified design, which features an aluminum frame and a Gorilla Glass 5 front panel, is equally upscale. Qualcomm's 2022 flagship chip is powerful enough to run the finest Android games and apps without any problems, despite not being the newest or quickest. The 64MP primary camera has OIS and 8K recording capability. It comes with an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro camera, but you won't be impressed by their images. The Poco F5 Pro has practically every feature you could ask for in a smartphone, including a beautiful display, fast wired and wireless charging, and superior build quality. The phone's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip allows for excellent performance. It only lacks in imaging, with the cameras having trouble in dimly lit environments. Additionally, Poco's software support might have been improved. Although you'll need a suitable Xiaomi wireless charger to achieve such speeds, it supports 30W wireless rapid charging. The phone should charge at the fastest possible rate of 15W using a typical Qi charger. The 5160mAh battery can be charged to 50% in a claimed 15 minutes at the fastest wired charging speed of 67W. But at 120Hz, the refresh rate doesn't change. Instead of an in-display fingerprint scanner, the side power button has a sensor built into it. Similar to the Poco F5 Pro, the primary camera has the same 64MP resolution but lacks OIS and 8K video recording. The back also houses a 2MP macro and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. You get a 16MP f/2.45 selfie camera up front. A 5,000mAh battery with 67W rapid charging, twin speakers, 8/12GB RAM, and 256GB storage round out the list of features. Specifications of Poco F5:

The Poco F5 is a fantastic mid-range smartphone with a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 engine, a 6.67-inch FHD+ display, and a huge 5,000mAh battery. The phone won't let you down in any of the other areas, including display, performance, or battery life unless the camera is important to you. However, MIUI's user interface still has a lot to be desired, especially given the bloatware that comes pre-installed and the intrusive alerts. For phones, Poco guarantees two OS updates and three years of security updates. Despite being inferior to the competition, this is the first time the corporation has promised two OS updates for its products. The sale price of the Poco F5 in Europe will be €429 for the 8GB RAM model and €479 for the 12GB RAM model. You can purchase the phone for as little as €399 if you pre-order it.
