When “Hogwarts Legacy” was first launched, the general public had varied reactions to it, with some people praising the game and others complaining that it lacked numerous features for an AAA-rated product.
The fact that this game is already part of a series and that there may be sequels after its release is still a huge victory for Warner Bros. Discovery.
Additionally, it acknowledges the popularity of the game upon its release, with WB Games proclaiming that it is the “largest launch” in the history of the studio, defying predictions and breaking prior records.
WB Games has acknowledged that it plans to turn “Hogwarts Legacy” into a gaming brand with a strong emphasis on sequel titles in the future, according to the reports.
Unknown are the company’s plans for upcoming games, as well as the new plot they would follow or whether they should build on the enjoyment that gamers and fans of the Wizarding World had from the current game.
“Mortal Kombat 12” was among the video game brands that Warner Bros. Discovery referenced during its results conference earlier this week when it revealed that it was expanding them to new markets.
According to a press statement from WB Games, the game “Hogwarts Legacy” made $850 million on its first day of sales after selling up to 12 million units. Taking into account that it is only available for the first two weeks of the game’s debut on current-gen platforms.
Since Warner Bros. announced “Hogwarts Legacy” in 2020, the game experienced enormous excitement before its 2023 release. The group expressed their enthusiasm for including an open-world role-playing game with Hogwarts in the early 1800s and allowing players to choose the plot of their character.
Except for the “LEGO Harry Potter” games and the well-known augmented reality (AR) game “Harry Potter: Wizards Unite,” there aren’t many RPG and open-world “Harry Potter” franchise-based games available.
Of course, “Hogwarts Legacy” experienced severe delays; it was initially scheduled for release in late 2021, but that date was later moved to 2022, and now it will only be available this year.

When the game launched on February 10 of last year, PS5, Xbox Series S and X, and PC players had the option to play it early. The development team was able to sell as much as $850 million worth of games worldwide. The latest device, the Nintendo Switch, will get the game by July 25. Older platforms, like the PS4 and Xbox One, will get the game by April 4.
