“This is live for Android and iOS!”: Updated news on the “For You” tab

Twitter recently introduced its curated “For You” tab in 2023. After switching to the platform's reverse chronological "following" timeline, both would revert to the “For You” feed when you reopened them. Twitter made an early effort to solve that error at the end of January, adjusting the web client to remember where you left off before closing your tabs. Earlier, the management stated that a similar update will be available soon for Android and iOS. That update is now available. The tweak made today does not bring back Twitter's old "twinkle" button, but it does allow you to keep your chosen timeline.  If you primarily use Twitter to follow real-world events, it should be easier to do so with the app. Notably, the interface update corresponds with the company's recent move to block third-party clients. As a result of this change, programs like “Tweetbot” have been discontinued. It leaves the official client as the sole option to access Twitter.
