As interest rates rise and economic uncertainties loom, the days of easy money for start-ups are over. However, according to a new LinkedIn study, these 15 Singapore start-ups have risen above these challenges. Fintech, education, and telehealth start-ups dominated the list of Singapore's "LinkedIn Top Start-ups 2022." "Fintech startups loom the Singapore list, accounting for more than half of the top 15, followed by health care and tech firms," said Adrian Tay, senior editor in Asia for LinkedIn News. "This recalls the existing needs of Singaporean consumers, who want to manage their finances and wealth, want more convenient healthcare services, and require services to cater to the senior population, as well as support their children's future with good education tools and resources." "Operating with limited resources and capital can force young companies to prioritize assets and values and adapt quickly," the social media network stated. LinkedIn compiled the list using in-house data collected between July 1, 2021, and June 30, 2022, assessing start-ups on four criteria: employment growth, engagement, job interest, and attraction of top talent. Companies must be headquartered in Singapore, have 50 or more employees, and be seven years old or younger at the time of calculation to be eligible. The rankings, according to the professional networking site, are a resource for employees who are "excited by the opportunity to innovate" and grow their skills.
