Wednesday Series is Set for European Launch at Lucca Comics Convention

Tim Burton will be at the European premiere of his television series; Jenna Ortega plays Wednesday Addams. The European premiere of the Wednesday series will be held during Lucca Comics, a multi-media event celebrating pop culture and cosplay in medieval Tuscany. The event is scheduled for October 31. Four episodes are both executive produced and directed by Burton. Directors James Marshall and Gandja Monteiro are also included. Wednesday is produced by MGM Television and is available on Netflix.   Netflix is discontinuing all "Wednesday series" episodes beginning on November 23, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving in the United States. Wednesday series enrolls in Nevermore Academy to develop psychic abilities and unravel the Addams family enigma. Today, the "Wednesday series" is a teenager. She's a new person to us. In a statement, Ortega said. "When coming from someone who should probably know more than a 10-year-old child, her caustic, insulting remarks would not seem quite as endearing. It was challenging to balance. It was a fine line to walk. She was not to sound too much like any other teenage girl, which was our goal. Disney+ will also be present in Lucca, where two Lucasfilm projects will be unveiled. On October 30, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, and others will go to Lucca to promote "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," a television series that examines the Star Wars galaxy from a novel angle. One series episode airs each week and is streamed live on Disney+.
