Google unveiled the new Chromecast remote for Google TV and it has several buttons, including ones for YouTube and Netflix.
The new Chromecast Google TV remote can be used to control the volume, switch inputs, play music, and get answers on-screen. You can also use your phone as a virtual remote control.
According to reports, the Android TV 14 Beta may have shown off the upcoming Chromecast control for Google TV. Recently, the operating system became live and is now visible in the Android Studio emulator.

What to Expect from the New Chromecast Google TV Remote

The Chromecast with Google TV (HD) is one of the first to ship with Android 12 preloaded. It has a Quick Connect mode for Wi-Fi, which lets you join Wi-Fi networks by scanning a QR code from your smartphone.   [caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="1200"]A new Chromecast with Google TV device is in the works Image credit- Chrome Unboxed[/caption]
The remote has a navigation pad with two round buttons, which are likely for "Back" and "Assistant". On the left side, there are three more buttons, which could be for "home", "mute", and for app shortcuts. There also appears to be a new star-shaped button.
According to the reports, the new remote was "definitely for," the impending Chromecast with Google TV. The gadget had a circular design and a top-mounted navigation pad. Even while these features were the same as the current version, it was said that there would still be some significant alterations. There are eight buttons in the current edition, including the usual suspects like Home, Mute, Assist, and the input and power buttons for the TV. Additionally, users receive the typical volume controls and a D-pad on the back with buttons for Netflix and YouTube. The new remote's buttons and their placement, however, differ in some noticeable ways. New 'Magic' Button Added to the Remote

The D-Pad with two round buttons underneath, which may still be for the back and Assistant, is one of the additional additions. Three more buttons are located on the left side of the remote, and many people concluded that they were the home, mute, and shortcut buttons. A larger button on the right side of the remote is presumably a volume rocker, according to the reports. It was observed that the new button displays a star icon at the remote's bottom. The system files for this icon are named "magic." This is one of the few details now included in the file, although it is pretty obvious that the custom shortcut actually first appeared in 2021. Although the device has supposedly been in the works for a while, there is still no concrete indication of it in the Android 14 building stage. When the new remote would arrive is not yet known.
