Apple's iPadOS 16.1 is scheduled for delivery in late October after being delayed so that it could concentrate on its brand-new iPhone.
Therefore, it appears that iPad users will still have to wait a few days before receiving the most recent big upgrade to iPadOS. According to the most recent report, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman recently stated in a tweet that the future iPadOS 16.1 is expected to be released before the end of October.
The online news source points out that Apple announced its decision to push out the release of iPadOS 16 to October in August of last year. However, the well-known IT juggernaut did not offer a precise release date.
In contrast, iOS 16 was released to iPhone owners in September 2017 in conjunction with the introduction of the new iPhone 14 series.

Due to a one-month delay, the new iPadOS's first release is therefore version 16.1. This time, though, Gurman claims that his sources are saying that Apple is "on pace" to launch iPadOS 16.1 on October 24.
iPadOS 16.1: What to Expect
The Bloomberg journalist revealed not only when the next iPadOS would be released but also what to anticipate from it.
According to him, the software's stable version smashed a tonne of obtrusive problems that its beta counterpart had a reputation for having.
Early iPadOS 16 Beta users have reportedly voiced concerns about the operating system's instability, according to 9to5 Mac. But it seems as though this latest update fixes the issues.
The next update is compatible with different iPads, according to Mac Rumors. The fifth-generation iPad mini and later models, the fifth generation iPad and its more recent offspring, and the third-generation iPad Air and its successors are all included.
