(Image credit- Techlusive) If you're still using Twitter, you can be affected by this issue since an unidentified flaw is bringing back old and deleted tweets to a user's profile. Social media platforms provide a delete feature for a purpose, so even if one has a troubled past online, one may easily erase it. But given that it keeps reappearing and no one is sure what is causing the occurrence, this new issue can prevent someone from growing personally or altering their online persona.

Twitter brings back deleted and old tweets, but reports mount

A glitch on the well-known social networking site Twitter has been causing restored old and deleted tweets to return to users' timelines in an unexpected turn of events. Users have expressed their concerns on social media sites, including Mastodon, an alternative to Twitter, as stories of this problem continue to spread. A shocking 34,000 out of 38,000 tweets that one user, Dick Morell, claimed to have deleted and then inexplicably reappeared on the platform. Morell's experience demonstrates the severity of the bug's effects on specific users. The company's silence on the issue, which hasn't received an official comment, has raised more questions than it has answered. What is going on with Twitter?

Well, there are still a lot of unresolved issues with short-word social media, particularly with its leadership and current operations. The removal of dormant profiles from the platform by Elon Musk, which will begin in December 2023, is one of the current hot topics. These users must not have accessed their accounts in the previous 30 days. The program's authentication flaws include the fact that people who are not paying the subscription can still see the blue checkmark, despite Musk's confirmation that he is covering some of the costs. Others who have the legacy checkmark, however, also saw a crackdown. Questions are raised concerning the durability of user-generated content on social media sites in light of the restoration of old and deleted tweets. For a variety of purposes, including the ability to fix errors, remove out-of-date material, or manage their online presence, many users rely on the option to delete their tweets. The fundamental confidence that users have in Twitter to preserve their privacy and data is being brought into question as a result of this problem.
