WhatsApp To Block Screenshot on iPhone for View Once Media

The “View Once” option was introduced by WA last year which lets the viewers see the photo only once and disappears and now is blocking screenshots of the images on iPhone. The View Once feature is similar to Instagram and Snapchat. According to WABetaInfo, the new Beta release on TestFlight on iPhone is blocking screenshots on View Once media. When you try to take a screenshot, a notification pops up stating, “blocked for added privacy.”

According to WABetaInfo, there will be an alert in place of the content in the final screenshot for protecting the sender. This feature is available for users running beta 22.21.0.71. You should probably note that this feature cannot be disabled as that will be the standardized version once launched. But the launch date of this feature is unknown. There are many more features coming out in WA, the latest beta version can create interactive polls. Like Google Meet and FaceTime, WA rolled out the feature of generating pins to schedule a meeting. Whatsapp can be downloaded by Windows users while the WA app for Mac is on beta software.
