WhatsApp will now let you create unnamed groups

Image credit : Meta WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that allows users to create small groups without the initial requirement of naming them. This update was announced by Mark Zuckerberg in a Facebook post, as reported by TechCrunch. Earlier, when creating a group on WhatsApp, users had to select a name for it right away. According to information from TechCrunch, these unnamed groups can have up to six members, unlike the named groups which can accommodate more than 1000 participants. Additionally, for these unnamed groups, WhatsApp will automatically generate temporary names based on the members involved. As an example, if there's a conversation between "Rocco" and "Li-Chen," the group might be labeled as "Rocco & Li-Chen," as demonstrated in a sample image provided by Zuckerberg. The way the group name appears will vary for each participant, depending on how they have saved the contacts of the group members. If you become part of an unnamed group that consists of individuals who haven't added your contact information, it is said that your phone number will be visible to the group members. This implies that the feature is meant for use among people who are already acquainted. Also read : WhatsApp HD Photo Sharing Feature Now Available: How to Use the New Feature? The recently introduced automatic group naming feature will be gradually made available to WhatsApp users worldwide in the next few days.
