"Wildest Pick-Up" till date is made of cardboards by Citroen

Citroen has a long history of producing oddball automobiles, and its latest creation is no exception. Friends, I present the Oli. It's a quirky (and very boxy) electric pickup concept that aims to be both affordable and sustainable for a new way of life. The Oli (pronounced all-) is notable for its use of recycled and recyclable materials, including actual cardboard. Citroen describes the Oli as a "laboratory on wheels" that "challenges the status quo" and aims to "improve the lives and lifestyles of all types of people." I'm not usually a fan of cute little cars like this, but something about it appeals to me. Citroën Oli Concept According to the company, the goal of the Oli is to deviate from current industry trends (i.e.: heavy and complex family vehicles). Instead, Oli is concerned and focuses on the societal and mobility challenges of the future, whatever that may be. Consider the Oli to be the more car-like companion to the Ami buggy. Both vehicles are designed to make mobility "joyful, affordable, responsible, and multi-purpose." Citroen, you strange little guys. Citroën Oli Concept The Oli, like most concept vehicles, is intended to be a laboratory on wheels for Citroen. The name of the game here is similar to Colin Chapman's mantra: simplify, then add lightness. These lightweight recycled and recyclable materials assist Oli in meeting its mission statement. The Oli's target weight is 1,000 kg or just over 2,200 pounds. Citroen also stated that the vehicle will have a range of 248 miles (400 kilometers) and a top speed of 68 mph (110 km/h). Citroen appears to be aware that the Oli is unusual in appearance, but claims that this is on purpose. According to the company, the unusual silhouette "heroes honest aesthetics driven by functionality, efficiency, and durability." Inside the Oli, as many may have expected, are more of the same themes seen on the outside of the vehicle. It's all a little strange, with "mesh" seatbacks and a lot of oranges. If you ask me, it's pretty cool. Citroën Oli Concept Citroen appears to be aware that the Oli is unusual in appearance, but it claims that this is intentional.
