Windows 11 2022 Update slows down GeForce GPUs

Some users of Nvidia's GeForce graphics cards experienced severe performance difficulties after installing the Windows 11 2022 Update (also known as Windows 11 22H2) that Microsoft made available to the public earlier this week. Even on fast PCs with contemporary components, afflicted users have reported experiencing stuttering, erratic framerates, and slowdowns. Nvidia says the issue was caused by unintentionally enabling Windows graphics debugging features. After publicly apologizing for the problem, the firm unveiled a new beta version of the GeForce Experience software suite that it claims will accelerate performance. Unfortunately, this suggests that the issue is with Nvidia's add-on software rather than the GeForce drivers themselves; otherwise, you might not have noticed the slowdown in the first place if you installed the drivers without the GeForce Experience program. Due to issues like this, Microsoft releases significant Windows updates in stages, starting with a select number of PCs and expanding outward.
